Welcome to the Flotilla 4-4, District 8CR Web Site

Flotilla Activities

Located in Lafayette, the capital of Acadiana, the members of Flotilla 44 come from all backgrounds and assist the U.S. Coast Guard and the boating public by conducting operational patrols, teaching boating safety courses, distributing safe boating information, performing courtesy vessel safety checks (VSCs), and visiting marine dealers. We work closely with the Coast Guard’s units in Morgan City, Lafayette and Houma. In addition, we augment active duty Coast Guard personnel where needed, and support other CG missions as directed by the Commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard. We are a part of Coast Guard Auxiliary District 8 Coastal Region, headquartered in New Orleans, Louisiana.

Hybrid meetings are held the second Wednesday of every month at 1900 hours (7 PM) and the public is welcome. Click on the calendar link at left for both the physical and virtual meeting information.

Interested in joining the Auxiliary? We're always looking for new members to join our flotilla and help us carry out the missions of the U.S. Coast Guard. We are civilian volunteers, so you don't need to enlist. If you are at least 17 years old and a U.S. citizen, we'd love to welcome you aboard! Click on Prospective Members in the menu bar at left for more information about the Auxiliary and how you can join us.
